Security
Each apartment is equipped with emergency alarm cords, pendant alarms, entry phone and an intercom for communicating directly with staff and other residents.

A fire alarm system, automatic external lighting and closed circuit video cameras to front and rear of building are provided.

Governance
The freehold is owned and administered by Jelf Close Care Limited, a not-for-profit management company whose Board of Directors comprises one representative from each apartment. Its main objectives are to administer the block of apartments and to provide 24 hour Close (Personal) Care to the residents. Regular Board Meetings are held to discuss any issues. No decisions are made without a Board Meeting and the accounts are always up-to-date and available for inspection.

The residents own their apartments on a 125 year lease from 1993 with a one eighth share of the freehold.

Anyone who is 55 or over and registered as being disabled or certified as being in need of close care by an independent medical practitioner or aged 65 years or more is eligible to reside with their partners. All prospective purchasers will be assessed for their suitability for the care offered.
