Berkhamsted is an historic market town in the Chiltern Hills offering good shopping, and cultural facilities. Numerous clubs and societies are available.
The town lies on the A41 between London and Aylesbury, seven miles from Junction 8 of the M1 at Hemel Hempstead and nine miles from Junction 20 of the M25 at Kings Langley.
Berkhamsted station is on the mainline from London to Glasgow and is 35 minutes away from London Euston, with frequent trains.
There are three local taxi services.
